Frequently Asked Questions

Where are matches held?

CASA matches take place at the Los Angeles Rifle and Revolver Club, 1700 Loma Ave, South El Monte, CA 91733.
 

What days and times are matches?

All matches are on the SECOND SATURDAY and FOURTH SUNDAY of each month. 
Setup: 7:15 am - 8:30 am
Sight-in:  After range setup is complete approximately 8:30 am - 9:00 am

Match Start Time:  Approximately 9 am

 

Who can participate in a match?

Everyone is welcome to participate, whether they are a member or not.

 

How much does it cost to participate in a match?

The cost to participate is $15 for members or $20 for non-members.

 

Which guns are allowed?

Airguns (rifle or pistol) must shoot .177 to 22 caliber pellets and less than 20 foot pounds of energy (fpe) for field target matches.

What do I need to bring to a match?

  • Safety glasses and hat are REQUIRED.

  • Bring your own water. 

  • Bring your own gun, air, and pellets.

 

What are the rules?

Generally, CASA field target matches are informally shot, but CASA will have at least one American Airgun Field Target Association (AAFTA) match in which all shooters are bound by AAFTA rules.

Where can I recreationally (non-match) shoot my airgun?

As a member, you can shoot on our practice range anytime Angeles Shooting Ranges (ASR) is open to the public. Daily fee is $3. Caliber is limited to no greater than .30 cal. Non-members can shoot on our range but must be accompanied by a club member. Fee for non-members is $5.

How do I become a member?

If you are interested in joining our club, download the application, fill it out and mail it in, or bring it with you to one of our scheduled matches. At one of our regularly scheduled matches you will meet one of our range Safety Officers and go over range and gun safety procedures. Once completed you will be issued a membership card that will allow you to use the airgun range.
